The Accutron Watch Page

"The Watch That Hums!"

A Warm Welcome to All Tuning Fork Enthusiasts!

This site is devoted to one thing only - Technical Information on Bulova Accutrons and other tuning fork watches. Inspired originally by George Fruge "The Accutron Man", after 25 years on-line, the Accutron Watch Page is the oldest Accutron information site on the net, and remains completey free and contains no other advertising, cookies, scripts or annoying pop-ups.

The Accutron Watch Page repair service continues to provide repair and restoration services for your Tuning Fork watches in 2024!

Why pay more to get your classic Accutron working as it should! And YES! any accutron that has been serviced and is in good mechanical condition can keep time to within ORIGINAL factory specs of one minute per month. Note, to achieve the Bulova advertized spec of 1 minute per month, your watch may need to be regulated to suit your particular wearing style, as mentioned in the original Accutron advertizing material.

I will repair any Accutron or TF watch for USD $140.00 + $12 shipping and free battery not including parts. (Speedsonic Chronographs and their non-Omega brethren, are $220.00). Note that for shipping to the USA during this Covid period, it is by DHL courier to my Associate in Texas, then USPS to you as no registered mail from here is available yet. Cost is calculated on the weight of the item. An average Accutron without bracelet is about $26.00. What does a service entail? For a description of what I do when I service an Accutron, click here.

Other Services: High quality refinishing for Stainless Steel watch cases and bracelets. Sorry but at the moment I can't do Gold, Gold Filled or Gold Plate cases. My trusty gold guy went awol and I haven't found a reliable replacement yet. Other restoration services include providing high quality refinishing and replating of the watch movement itself in nickel, gold or rhodium, especially important for restoring very early Accutrons. Due to the amount of Accutron work I am doing, I can no longer take in any mechanical watches for repair.

We are not currently rewinding Accutron 214 coils for the time being. However, I can repair your old coils if the coils are not open circuit. I can replace bad components with either good original parts or parts specially made to look like the old ones, so the coil assembly will look exactly the same as before. This is especially important for Spaceviews so as to retain their authentic look. The coils are fully tested and work to original Bulova specifications and guaranteed for 1 year. The cost is $45 per coil set, free return shipping.click here for more information.
